funny funny boys

March 1, 2010

I’m a little behind on blogging. This  house remodeling is taking forever, and taking all of my free time. We are so close to finishing up though, so that’s great! Here is a session I did the other day. So much fun, I laughed non stop at these three. I got so many silly, funny shots, but I did some get some serious stuff too.

beautiful…

February 17, 2010

This session was such a blast. We went all over and shot way too much and she will now be fussing at me because there will be too many to choose from! But it was so fun, and we ended it with ice cream from dairy queen!! Get ready there will be lots more senior sessions coming. Next month is booked up! And I have my new “old” bus on the way. It should be here this week. So all seniors wanting the bus shots you saw on my website you can get it now!

And I would like to thank everyone for the prayers for my nephew Landen. His surgery was a huge success, the dr’s said his middle ear looked better than they even imagined. And he can now hear out of both ears!!! He will return to California in May for the start of the outer ear construction.

Kara I hope you like…

rain rain go away…

February 12, 2010

So tired of all of this rain and the ground being completely wet. It’s time for the sun to come out and the grass to get green again. This session was only able to last all of about 10 minutes because it started raining on us. I was still able to get a few smiles even though it was cold and rainy. I can’t wait to get him back to finish up his first birthday session. Isn’t he just beautiful?!?!

Senior time again!!!

February 3, 2010

It’s that time of year and I’m so excited!!!

Senior season is about to get started, next month only has a few openings left. Here is my first senior girl session of the year and we had a blast…aside from me almost stepping on a snake the session went great. And of course as usual I got way carried away. So don’t fuss at me later Kayla, I’m warning you now, there will be a lot to choose from!

She had the prettiest eyes, I love how they are two colors.

brothers

January 8, 2010

These two kept me on my toes the whole time, I think I need to get in shape so I can chase after all these kids. When the session was over we had to trick the youngest and catch him so they could leave. He was wanting to stay with me. I told him I had lots and lots of baby dolls he could play with if he stayed with me….he didn’t think that was such a good idea.

I’ve had quite a few emails come in about booking high school senior sessions. Over the Christmas holiday, I had no email for about 3 days, something happened with centurytel’s servers. I have not received any of those emails still, so if you sent me an email inquiring about a session and I never replied, it’s because I did not receive it. Either resend or give me a call. It’s booking up quite fast. Also if I emailed you dates available and you have replied as to which date you would like to book and you have not received a confirmation email from me saying I have it down, then please give me a call. I will always send an email letting you know that I have it confirmed.

Raffle for Landen

January 7, 2010

This adorable little man is my nephew. We are raffling a 47″ flat screen tv to help raise money for Landen and his mom and dad to go to California in February for his first surgery. Landen was born with microtia/artresia  which means that he is missing his right ear and ear canal. He will have surgery on February 11th to create an ear canal so he will have hearing now in his right ear. He can only hear in his left ear for now. He will make multiple trips to California over the years for different surgeries he needs. They will be there for over a week for this first surgery and then he will have to go back in May to start the outer ear reconstruction surgeries. The raffle is to help with the medical and travel expenses they will be facing. If any of you are interested in purchasing a ticket just reply here or email me at ktyler@centurytel.net or give me a call 337-738-3079. Our family appreciates this so much! The drawing will be done on February 15th.

Strong

January 4, 2010

~Strong~describes this family so much. They truly are an inspiration to me, they have been given a lot to deal with and handle it all so well. I need to take lessons. I squeezed them in right before we left to go on vacation. Jeramy has battled Crohn’s for many years of his life, the same disease that I got so sick with in May that took me out of business for a good two months, and just found out he now has liver cancer. His story just hit way too close to home. He was leaving almost immediately to go to Texas to start treatment and we were leaving to go on vacation out of state. And the weather had been just horrible that week. We found one morning that the sun was shining and it was beautiful, but very wet. We got his session taken care of and he left and took off to Texas to get prepared to start chemotherapy treatments. I just spoke with his mom and he is doing really really well. He is handling the treatments and not getting sick, that makes me so happy to hear!

Here are a few of Jeramy’s senior portraits!

Kathy Hayes: Kim, These pictures are wonderful. I cannot believe how healthy Jeramy looks. You did a great job of capturing his truly amazing personality. Thank you for helping to get one of their concerns taken care of. God bless you and your family.

admin: Thank you Kathy for calling me about this session. I really enjoyed working with them. Jeramy has a great smile and personality. We had fun and laughed a lot while we tip toed around all the water in my yard! I'm so happy I got to meet them and do this for him.

Donna: praying for him Kim. Great work !
